Guilty Pleasures: Office Supplies

Yes, you read that correctly. I have a thing for office supplies. I love my computer but there is something completely awesome about a new notebook and a pen that writes really, really well.

Here's some of the supplies I go nuts over--

Notebooks and journals - lined, unlined, large, small... It doesn't matter. I love notebooks. I have them all over the house, in my car, in my purse - I'm rarely without one.

Pens - oh the world for a nice writing pen. *sigh* If I find a pen I like, I will protect it and fight you for it. Just ask my kids and hubs. Poor things.

Planners/Date books - While I use calendars on the computer (I use Google calendar for family things and Outlook calendar for writing deadlines), mostly for the reminders that ping at me when I set them, there is something about writing it out. In this case, I forgo my beloved pens and use pencil, because if I have to shift things around, I don't like scratching stuff out.

Binders - I have TONS of binders lining my shelves. I print a lot of my stuff out and put in binders. Why? For back up (Never fear I back up like crazy online, but I'm comforted in the fact I have copies of my contracts in a safe place , etc)

Post-Its - I stick this suckers everywhere. Notes for the kids on the door, notes for me on the mirror (I have a HORRIBLE memory and this is my system. It works for me. LOL), and so on. I mark thinks in books with Post-Its. I use them or index cards to plot out books when I'm having trouble.

Now that I've typed this out, I'm feeling rather silly... I can't help it though. I HEART OFFICE SUPPLIES!! I go crazy during Back-to-School sales. I stalk the home/office aisle at Target. Surely I can't be the only one...
